Licenses and Admissions
Ms. Caudel is licensed in Indiana and Kentucky.
Rachel Caudel understands the need for a plan. During her legal career and in her personal life, she has seen how situations can arise, where a course of action needs to be in place.
“I became passionate about estate and elder law after seeing firsthand from my clients, my family, and my friends the importance of pre-planning with the challenges faced by individuals and their families as they age,” Ms. Caudel said.
She believes that the first step to putting a plan in place is understanding all of the information involved. That means knowing the questions to ask and the options available. Whether it is protecting life savings from the cost of assisted living or nursing home care, or preparing for a loved one’s incapacity before it occurs, Ms. Caudel is prepared to assist her clients with all of their needs and answer any question that may arise.
“Planning for your future can be intimidating and a scary process,” she said. “It can be easy to feel overwhelmed, but I’m here to help you through it. I’ll work to make the process simple to understand and make sure we make the best decisions for you and your family.”
Ms. Caudel knows that each of her clients have different needs and priorities, but she will continue to work toward making sure that each client receives a smart solution for each issue that they face.
“I listen to my clients,” Ms. Caudel said. “I listen to what’s important to them, to what they’re going through. I believe that listening and understanding are the only ways to really be able to practice to a client’s satisfaction.”
Ms. Caudel received her Bachelor of Arts in German and International Economics and her Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky.
Prior to joining Cordell Planning Partners, Ms. Caudel practiced family law, dealing with matters of divorce, child custody, child support, domestic violence, and adoption. She also has worked in areas of law regarding civil rights, property law, and social security disability. She also previously worked as an assistant county attorney in the child support division.
Ms. Caudel is a member of the Louisville Bar Association, Kentucky Justice Association, Indiana Bar Association, United States District Court for the Western District of Kentucky, and 6th Circuit of the United States Court of Appeals.
