Attorney-CPA Joe Cordell, founder of Cordell Planning Partners, recently appeared on an episode of Today’s Issues to discuss the founding of Cordell Planning Partners and the firm’s mission.
Mr. Cordell explained the purpose of starting Cordell Planning Partners was to help people plan for their future as they age so they can go through their golden years comfortably.
“(Our clients) are thinking about retirement, they’re thinking about protecting their assets, they’re thinking about qualifying for long-term care,” Mr. Cordell said, “so we thought it was natural to create an entity where attorneys are skilled in that area and all they do is that sort of planning. That’s what Cordell Planning Partners is.”
Mr. Cordell also discussed some of the most critical practice areas covered by Cordell Planning Partners.
“Asset protection is a huge issue when you’re planning,” he said. “People want to have trust in things that will allow them to feel condiment that their assets are not in jeopardy to health-care providers, that perhaps they’ll be able to qualify for certain benefits whether it’s disability or whether it’s long-term care in a nursing facility.”
